Thursday 27, 18:30 – 23:30

The Social Event will start with a guided bus tour of Madrid where we will see many touristic and iconic places such as the “Puerta de Alcalá”.

Full of magnificent architecture, delicious food, and thousands of bars and nightclubs, Madrid is a city that’s impossible not to have fun in. You can start at Gran Via, one of the most famous streets in Madrid, to enjoy the shops, cafés, theaters, and ornate architecture all the way down to the Plaza de España. You can visit the Mercado de San Miguel, one of Madrid’s oldest markets, to sample the local delicacies like bocadillos de calamares, a baguette filled with fried squid rings that is one of the city’s favorite treats.

Get some fresh air at Parque del Retiro, a 350-acre park where you can rent a paddleboat to explore the pond or check out the Crystal Palace. Take a relaxing stroll down the banks of the Manzanares river, lined on both sides by bike and pedestrian paths with picturesque bridges to cross along the way. Feeling fancy? Consider wrapping up your trip with dinner at Sobrino de Botin, thought to be the oldest restaurant in the world and a favorite spot of Ernest Hemingway.

After this little trip, we’re going to enjoy a magnificient evening with a dinner and a flamenco show at Tablao Torres Bermejas.

Founded in 1960, Torres Bermejas is the most important and unique tablao flamenco in the world. Torres Bermejas is known for its breath-taking hall, that reproduces the interior of the Torres Bermejas of the Alhambra de Granada. With its Arabic theme decoration and hand-made wooden roof and floor, the customers will have the opportunity to experience an unforgettable evening, witnessing an unique artistic event performed by the best flamenco dancers, singers and guitarists in the country.

Moreover, we cannot dismiss its artistic history, being Torres Bermejas the tablao where some the world-famous flamenco artists started their careers. For instance, Camaron performed here for 12 years, and Torres Bermejas was the place where he met the guitarist Paco de Lucia. Also, other famous debuts in Torres Bermejas has been those of Manolo Caracol, on February 1st, 1962; and recently, the cantaor José Mercé. Other famous artists include El Güito, Mario Maya, la Chunga, La Paquera, El Camborio, Fosforito, Pansequito, el Niño Ricardo, Enrique de Melchor, Paco Cepero, Chato de la Isla and most recently the Young and promising guitarist Juan Habichuela Nieto.

Torres Bermejas is located on the historic centre of Madrid, in Gran Via, next to Callao square. This restaurant is the same show hall that was occupied by the first tablao flamenco in Madrid, La Taberna Gitana, founded in 1949.

This flamenco night is completed with a high quality gastronomic experience, not only inspired in the traditional Spanish cuisine but also in avant-garde cuisine movements.
